Guilt

See the true face of anger
Watch it twist in a sneer
Set aside the sense of danger
And there’s nothing there to fear

And you listen for the sirens coming down the road
And you listen to the ticking of the bomb set to explode
In your mind…in your mind…in your mind

The mirror keeps calling you into it’s presence
Inspecting your status, seeing what’s in your mind
You meditate daily while burning some incense
And keep looking deeper but nothing you find

The wishing that something would happen is torture
The elusive trigger must be deeper inside
You think you hear music but nowhere you find it
The only conclusion is that it must be
In your mind…in your mind…in your mind

Feel the true strength of power
As it courses through your veins
Yeah the aftertaste is sour
But it lets you hide the stains

You’re still waiting for the sirens coming down the road
And you’re waiting for the world you created to explode
The mirror keeps calling you into it’s presence
Don’t tell me you haven’t figured out why

The secrets you carry are known to no other
It’s a burden you’ll carry till the day you die
